Common questions

Most things people email about can be resolved in under a minute — try these first.

  • EasySSO can’t read my ~/.aws/config

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files & Folders, grant EasySSO access to your ~/.aws folder, then restart the app.

  • The browser opens but the page says the code is invalid

AWS device-codes expire after about 10 minutes. Cancel the in-progress login in EasySSO and click the profile again to start a fresh flow.

  • After login the AWS CLI still says credentials are missing

Make sure you’re invoking the CLI with --profile <name> (or AWS_PROFILE=<name>) using the exact profile name shown in EasySSO — it’s the section header in ~/.aws/credentials.

  • How do I uninstall?

Drag EasySSO from /Applications to the Trash. EasySSO doesn’t store anything outside ~/.aws/ (which it shares with the AWS CLI), so removing the app leaves no orphan files.
